Bigger beard means no more sand in the face

La JOLLA, Calif. (RWN) - Kaseem Saunders was 17, with no muscle tone and a bad case of acne. He'd go to the beach and get laughed at. For whatever reason, Saunders' body hadn't kicked in with the testosterone yet.

"I'd get beaten up," he said. "I'd get sand kicked in my face. I'm sure that if a girl had come to the beach with me, she would have humiliated me once she saw how everyone else had treated me."

So the high school junior did what any other nerd on a mission would do. He went back to the chemistry lab and began playing. After two months of trial and error - and one unfortunate explosion that set him back $5,000 - Saunders had what he wanted.

He rubbed some on his chin that night. Two days later, he had some straggly hairs. He rubbed a more on his chin. Three days later, he had a full beard.

"It was great," he said, " but a little surprising. It took a lot of people by storm. Friday afternoon, here's Kaseem with a baby-smooth face. Wednesday, it's like 'Oh my, Kaseem's got game.'"

Another application took Saunders to a full, luxurious beard - the kind it had taken his father years to grow.

After more than a year of use, Saunders has seen no real side effects. The application tingles a little bit, but goes away in an hour or so.

Saunders has a patent pending and is selling the lotion under the commercial name "Beardo."

About the only problem, he said, is not wearing gloves when you do the application.

"I just did it with my bare hands, and Beardo gets hair everywhere it goes" he said. "The guys at school are still making fun of me for what happened to my hands."
