Akmar-Mohammad Wins Presidency!

Sonny Akmar-Mohammad's Leads All Candidates with 257 Electorial Votes.

The 2036 Presidential Campaign was a close race. Sonny Akmar-Mohammad won by only a 1.1% margin over Steve Maxon. Damon Kingsley was not far behind, only 5.5% behind the lead in the popular vote.Mayor Akmar-Mohammad won the most electorial votes, 257, with victories in 22 states including key states Illinois, Colorado and Oregon. Mr. Maxon won the second most electorial votes, 115. Kingsley managed 32 electorial votes.

The Mexican Empire's demand for the land ceded to the United States in the Gadsden Purchase was a bold move made by an aspiring power. How the Islamic States responds will go a long way owards defining the way the rest of the world sees this nation. The candidates for president shared their reaction.

"Brothers and sisters, the Mexican president has asked for land back," Sonny Akmar-Mohammad said. "We will not give it back. No! There are our brothers and sisters and father and mothers and daughters and sons who live in theses lands and we will not give that land back. But maybe, brothers and sisters, maybe it is time for the people of Sonora, Mexico to know the glory of living under Allah's gaze. We know that the strongest defense is a good offense, and if the Mexican Empire wants to take the fight to us, well, I suggest that we take the fight to them. They may be strong, but we have Allah's blessing, and we will win."

"Mexico getting that land back is a nice dream," Steve Maxon said, "but it is just a dream. Politicians say things all the time to satisfy their constituencies. This is no exception."

"The gall of the Mexican president is unbelievable," Damon Kingsley said. "We must meet threats with force. I propose moving our garrisoned divisions and some of our troops fighting the rebel Mormons down to our border with the Mexican Empire and saying, in effect, ‘If you want us, here we are. Come and get us. But you’re going to pay a price.’ We are a great nation of great ideas and people, and we will defend our citizens to the last. We will fight in every county and every town."
